Celebes Come Out From Hiding all Thanks to Social Media!

A lot of celebrities have reinvented themselves from social media becoming so popular. Many old celebrities have been forgotten in the mist of new celebrities coming forth, but social media has changed that all. Does anyone remember Alyssa Milano? Hint she played Phoebe for eight years in the TV show Charmed. She dusted away for awhile and has swept back up by acting fast in social media taking advantage of promotions, helping causes, or just talking about NHL. Along with Fran Drescher who played The Nanny she has also come out of hiding by using Facebook and Twitter to advocate for her website Cancer Schmancer, which she launched after overcoming her own battle against caner.

Celebrities Tweeting for Money

Celebrities are using Twitter more and more now as a way to get paid instead on tweeting there thoughts or feelings in 140 characters or less. Twitter has been around for 5 years now and is changing the business of celebrity endorsements. Stars are getting paid to praise products to their fans who are followers. Celebrities can get paid as much as $10,000 or MORE per post to talk about anything from clothes, cars, and even movies on Twitter. For example Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion) tweeted about how good Toyota Sienna minivan is. Or Khloe Kardashian tweeted about how old navy has great jeans "want to know how Old Navy makes your butt look scary good? Ask a Kardashian" Although what companies need to understand is this might not be the best way to promote there products by celebes tweeting because it can be much harder to measure whether their tweets lead people to spend on their product.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart is scared for her life due to mass social media at everyones fingertips now a days with Twitter and Facebook, etc. She believes people are so obsessed with her, that they will tweet or post where she is and someone will be able to find her.

"Like I’m going to die because somebody is going to say where I am and somebody is going to kill me. Someone’s going to Twitter my location and then it’s going to be like, boom. So, I actually think too much of anything can be scary, but at the same time it’s also an opportunity. I mean mass communication is a good thing. It’s actually a really great thing, it’s just scary."

I have never really took this into consideration, only thinking the positives of social media for celebrities. Kristin does have a point that now anyone at anytime can find her and that is a scary thought for anyone. So, the question is; is social media a positive or negative aspect in a celebrity's life and career?

With many, and I mean many, celebrities involved and showing their desire for Barack Obama to be reelected president of the United States. This has helped Obama in his campaign. If you think about fans who love a celebrity and would only agree on everything they believe in and do would only of course vote for who their favorite celebrity is voting for. Its almost like many of us are being brain washed but it is not the celebrities fault. They want you to vote for who they believe is going to be the best at steering America in the proper way. And for many celebrities this choice is Obama. Romney has many billionaires on his side but Obama has many celebrities and that is much more them Romney could ever get.

Tweeting about Steve Jobs

Kanye West went out of his way to honor the late Steve Jobs via twitter. After not using twitter for awhile and taking a break from it, tweeting "BE BACK SOON" the first tweet Kayne had tweeted was on the anniversary of Steve Jobs death. With writing this West wanted to let others know how important and inspiring Steve Jobs truly was. I'm glad Kanye had tweeted this to show others how appreciative he was of Steve Jobs in creating much more then the brand Apple but everything that has come with it. Including how celebrities have become much more popular over time on these social networks than ever before.

It really interested me about how one celebrity can be so popular in one part of social medial like twitter but then be so low in another part like google plus. The article I came across is called "Top 10 Celebrities on Social Media". This article had me really thinking of all the celebrities who are popular in some aspects of the social media world while in other cases they are not. For example Lady Gaga rules twitter coming in at 26,420,683 followers but ONLY tweeting once a day! Then you have Justine Biber who is ranked second with less followers and tweeting 13 times a day! It just does not make much sense to me. Further more this website will give you an understanding on how celeberties rely on soicial media just as much as we do.

Love or Lust

Rihanna and Chris Brown are Back at it Again... 

There has been talk about Chris and Rihanna getting back together and hiding their relationship, but now its getting hot and heavy! Rihanna was reportedly seen walking into the NY night club "Griffin" just moments after Chris Brown did. Rumor has it that they texted each other to go there for the night. Hmmm same thing that got Chris Brown in trouble in the first place... texting.  They sat at separate tables in the beginning but half way through the night some how ended up right next to each other. With out the media finding out they tried to sneak away and were left in a private bathroom for 30 minutes with each other! Now there is no way of hiding that when you have 6 security guards each outside the bathroom waiting for you guys. So, now time will only tell what will come out of this night, either it was love or lust.
